With over 20 years of entrepreneurial leadership, Salma Karina Hayat has founded and led five ventures across diverse industries, including e-commerce, lead generation for direct marketing and healthcare, wellness app development, and multifamily unit construction. As the Transformation, Change, and Innovation Advisor at Kudos Technologies, she focuses on helping SMEs reduce business chaos by developing customized software solutions that streamline and automate sales, operations, and marketing in a conscious, holistic manner.

Karina’s remarkable achievements have earned her numerous accolades, such as the WXN Canada’s Most Powerful Women Award, CHATELAINE PROFIT W100 Canada’s Top Female Entrepreneurs, and the Ernst & Young Entrepreneur of the Year Pacific Finalist recognition. In 2022, she was honored as one of the Government of Canada’s Women of Impact trailblazers for her pioneering contributions across various fields.

Her passion for social impact is evident from her early days teaching literacy in Guatemala to her involvement in founding Canada’s first Muslim Food Bank and initiating the “100 Meals a Week Initiative,” which evolved into the Muslim Care Center. Karina’s advocacy extends to family reunification, mental health, interfaith dialogue, and homelessness alleviation. As the former Chairwoman of BCMA Vancouver, she worked tirelessly to promote community unity and safety while aiding Syrian refugee families.

Committed to education and mentorship, she has launched scholarships for underprivileged students and has future plans to write books and establish both an orphanage and a homeless shelter.
